As Spring arrives, more cyclists are returning to roads across Gloucestershire, particularly on local routes and within our communities.
Cyclists are among the most vulnerable road users, and how road space is shared has a direct impact on safety for all.
Data from the Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership shows that many serious incidents involving cyclists occur:
• In the 41 to 69 age group
• At junctions and roundabouts
• During turning manoeuvres
• Particularly in Spring and Summer
Many of these situations arise during everyday driving within our communities.
Improving awareness of how road users interact can help contribute to safer communities across Gloucestershire.
This free one-hour webinar will provide practical insights into:
• Where and when cyclists are most at risk
• How cyclists position themselves on the road
• What to look out for at junctions and roundabouts
• How small adjustments in observation, speed and space can improve safety
